Position 1 Overview:

Bread baker + Viennoiserie

  • Full-time, permanent

  • 35-40 hours per week; 5 days/week. Saturday availability is essential.

  • A typical shift will start at 4am or 6am

  • Extended medical & dental benefits are available to full time employees after 3 months of employment

  • Starting wage: $22/hour + paid breaks, 7 paid sick days, store discount

  • The ideal candidate for this position has:

  • At least 1 year of professional bread baking 

  • Experience shaping croissants is essential

Position 2 Overview:

Bread baker

  • Full-time, permanent

  • 35-40 hours per week; Sunday availability is an asset.

  • A typical shift will be 4am-2pm or 6am-4pm, with one paid break

  • Extended medical & dental benefits are available to full time employees after 3 months of employment

  • Starting wage: $22/hour + paid breaks, 7 paid sick days, store discount

The ideal candidate for this position has:

  • At least 1 year of professional bread baking

The following is a list of physical and psychological demands of a baker:

  • Standing on your feet for 8-10 hours/day

  • Lifting up to 25kg at a time

  • Working in a warm environment

  • Repetitive motion

  • Working with potentially hazardous equipment

  • Squatting, bending

  • Meeting time-sensitive targets for bread production

The following training certification is required for this position, and must be completed by the time of hiring:

  • Food Handlers Certification

  • WHMIS 2015

  • Ontario Ministry of Labour Health & Safety at Work
